Online estate agency startup hopes to take Tyne & Wear by storm

Property entrepreneur Max Christian-Chance has today launched distrikt, an online independent estate agent, in Tyne & Wear.

The new service, which will initially operate across North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland, is already harbouring big plans for the region from its new offices based at the Town Hall, Wallsend.

Pledging to provide the ‘ultimate’ online estate agency service, Mr Christian-Chance wants the business to establish itself as the region’s the number one online agent by saving customers thousands of pounds on agency fees.

With an estimated six figure turnover and a recruitment drive expected at the end of 2016, Max believes his ethos of simplification will quickly fuel rapid expansion throughout the North East, with sights set on County Durham and Teesside for 2017.

Max Christian-Chance, Managing Director, said: “distrikt has been set up to bridge the gap between the online and traditional estate agent and we’re proud to launch this service in an area we know extremely well, Tyne & Wear.

“We’re offering a super simple online service that aims to offer low flexible fees, high levels of service and an ever-developing knowledge of the local property market.

“Estate agency as we know it is rapidly changing, and we want to make the people of Tyne & Wear enjoy an experience that is at their fingertips and is both reliable and affordable.

“We’ve shunned the high street office to enable a low-cost business model with no sacrifice in service or features and will pass those savings and benefits on to the customer.

“Home buyers and sellers don’t want to pay high fees, but they do demand an agent that knows their area. We’re based within touching distance of the five distrikts, and we’re aiming to constantly develop our knowledge to understand the complete property landscape in Tyne and Wear to offer the best service possible. We provide an all inclusive service where people can browse, sell and buy property via a company who is honest and local.”

Max Christian-Chance continued: “We want to build a local reputation for a first class service, value for money and an entirely different approach to the estate agency business. We want to instil trust and confidence in our service, and we want sellers and buyers to better understand the local market and enjoy dealing with us.

“We want to give customers an honest and transparent service, and we hope to be a part of the North East estate agency fabric for many years to come.

“We have big ambitions to tap into the wider North East and UK market but before that happens there’s lots of work to do in Tyne & Wear. If people want an estate agent that is upfront, passionate about the region and is genuinely interested in finding the best property or sale for them, then we’re here.

“We don’t believe in hard sales tactics or filling people with needless property jargon. We provide a flexible business that is simple, affordable and offers people that personal touch which is sometimes hard to find these days.”
