Women in Tech – Inspiring the Next Generation
“Think about what you can do to make tech the best sector for women to work in. We need female mentors to help us close the position gap. To help us get promoted faster. To enter at the right level. To guide us to negotiate better. Then we can close that gap” - Chimeren Peerbhai
Following #CodingAllowed’s event last year, where we focused on the history of women in technology, this year we are looking to the future at our annual London Tech Week event “Women in Tech – Inspiring the Next Generation”.
We will be joined by our panelists: Shannon Walker (Head of Data Architecture at Deutsche Bank), Radhika Chadwick (Partner and Leader for Digital Advisory Practice at EY), Anjali Ramachandran (Co-Founder of Ada’s List) and Chimeren Peerbhai (Founder of VR start-up VersaStyle).
On Tuesday 21st of June 2016 from 18:00 there will be:
Short screening of key extracts from “CODE – Debugging the Gender Gap”
Panel Discussion: How do we inspire the next generation of female technologists?
Networking: Drinks, nibbles and natter!
The event is organised by #CodingAllowed in collaboration with London Tech Week and hosted by Westminster Business School.
#CodingAllowed works with schools, universities and aspiring technologists to reduce the gender gap in technology; we do so by supplying tech careers information, employability workshops, networking opportunities and role models.
