Pennine smashes targets and recruits 28 staff

Home grown North East company, Pennine Home Improvements, has enjoyed a phenomenal first quarter to 2016, smashing its own challenging sales targets and taking on 28 new recruits!

The well-known firm which designs, supplies and fits a wide range of conservatories and orangeries, along with the latest, energy-efficient windows, roofs, porches and doors, set itself an ambitious target of £12.6 million revenue for 2016. By the end of March Pennine had exceeded their set quota by over 7%.

Due to the amount of work coming in, Pennine has accelerated its recruitment drive and all 28 new starters are now in post with the promise of more to come.

Amongst the new starters is Project Manager Glad Siddens. Every Pennine customer is assigned their own personal Project Manager who manages the work and is their personal contact for the duration of the job. Glad updates her customers during each step of the journey to ensure they’re fully informed on the progress of their project. Glad said: “Our customers really appreciate the extra care Pennine takes to ensure they are more than satisfied with the high standard of our work and service, before, during and after an installation.”

Another new starter is Stuart Browne who has been taken on as a Finishing Engineer – a new and extremely important role within Pennine. The company takes extra care to ensure any possible snagging issues are resolved as a matter of priority and this is another post which reflects Pennine’s genuine emphasis on complete customer satisfaction. To ensure that its customers are more than happy, Pennine then sends out customer satisfaction surveys to each completed installation to track and ensure optimum performance, making several changes to its operational procedures as a direct result of this customer feedback.

Other new appointments include: Gary Davies, Installations Manager; Brian Perry Building Manager; sixteen more experienced builders and fitters as well as office administration, sales and field marketing staff to cope with demand.

Pennine Home Improvements which has a Head Office in North Tyneside, and works throughout the North East from Northumberland to North Yorkshire, has achieved this growth with no additional marketing spend.

Brand Director Mark Tinnion believes the surge in business is simply down to growing public awareness of the quality of their service standards and products. He says: “These extremely encouraging results reflect Pennine’s relentless commitment to the quality of the customer experience as well as the quality of the product – an approach not always associated with our line of business. Our ethos is that the customer is our boss, and the extra mile is NOT an extra – it’s a given!”
