Arsenal reveal new partner ahead of 2016/17 season
Arsenal have expanded their network of partners after signing a new deal with Chilean winery Santa Rita.
The three-year partnership, which makes Santa Rita the club’s first official wine partner, will give the brand access to Gunners fans across the UK, Asia, Africa and North and South America.
The deal will also see Santa Rita’s wines sold at Emirates Stadium on matchdays and during other events.
In a statement published on the AFC website, the club’s chief commercial officer, Vinai Venkatesham, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Santa Rita as our official wine partner.
“They have a long history of being innovators and producing wines that receive universal acclaim while still remaining part of their local community after 136 years of business.”
He added: “Our shared values will provide the foundation of a strong partnership with the added benefit that our fans will have the opportunity to enjoy Santa Rita wines at Emirates Stadium.”
Established in 1880, today Santa Rita is one of the oldest wine producers in South America. The firm is based in Alto Jahuel and distributes wines to more than 75 countries.
The company’s executive vice-chairman, Baltazar Sánchez, said: “We are delighted to form a partnership with a club as prestigious as Arsenal.
“This not only opens up new possibilities for the Chilean wine industry but also provides a platform from which we can reach all corners of the globe with our Santa Rita wines.”
Baltazar continued: “Santa Rita and Arsenal share the same business perspective that values long-term efforts with an end goal of quality and success.”
Arsenal are not the first Premier League side to partner up with a wine maker ahead of the 2016/17 season, with Manchester City announcing a new deal earlier this month with one of Australia’s biggest wine producers.
