Ovo Spaces - the new name for Structural Interiors

OVO Spaces…it’s the new name for a new era with award winning Sheffield company Structural Interiors!

Structural Interiors Ltd was originally established by David and Alex Baldwin in 1992 as a specialist ‘Clean Room’ contractor serving medical and high tech sectors.

The company organically evolved with new Director Andy Baker joining in 2001, helping the company to become an award winning, one stop design and fit out specialist on projects for a wide range of leading companies, providing concept to conclusion building transformations for customers in the commercial, industrial, retail and public sectors.

Recent clients include, Greencore Foods, KPMG, Warp Films, Handlesbanken, Firth Rixson, BOC, Saint-Gobain, JRI Orthopedics, Wake Smith Solicitors, Metalysis and development of the Park Hill Commercial Units.

After more than 24 years of successful trading, the company is moving into a new phase of expansion that is providing the perfect opportunity for a major rebrand.

“Structural Interiors is recognised locally but for those less familiar, the name possibly suggests an industrial, almost steelwork ‘mind picture’ than the type of design led projects we now specialise in” said Managing Director David Baldwin.

The fact that even after 24 years, there are people who struggle to pronounce, never mind spell Structural Interiors, might be the reason the new brand, Ovo captured the attention.

Ovo derives from the Latin ’‘egg’’ with its beautiful and stylish 3D shape capturing the pure form of design.

This reflects the company’s approach to the delivery of first class project solutions where 3-D BIM is their default setting for developing any interior space plan or conceptual idea.

BIM (Building Information Modelling) and anti-clash software is used by our team of six designers to develop projects in 3-D, 4-D analysis of time and 5-D for cost management.

David added “it’s a fantastic tool for collaborative working saving time, waste and inevitably costs for both contractor and client’’

David stressed he would be retaining the original company registered number and name retaining the company’s healthy finances and Very Strong credit rating and hard won account relationships with both the country’s top brand suppliers and Blue Chip clients.

“Ovo Spaces provides a simple but easily recognised symbol, so essential in today’s social media led marketing and breathes fresh life into the way we present our services to customers both existing and new,” he said.

“We feel that it’s a great time to launch a name that the younger members of our team will be happy to take into the future, providing a fantastic opportunity for further growth and longevity”

The concept for the rebrand has been developed by Gerry Arcari of Vivid Creative, whose workspace at the historic Globe Works, near Kelham Island was created by David’s team.

“Having worked with us previously as a client, Gerry understood fully our approach to workspace design and was able to incorporate that into his vision for our future,” said David.

“We also feel that it is extremely important that businesses within the City Region should support each other, creating a strong and effective network for development.”
