Trafford business centre to launch as national flagship

Following its purchase by investors Varde Partners last year, national flexible business space provider Bizspace is realising its ambitious growth and portfolio investment plans with a largescale makeover of one of its Manchester business centres.

Bizspace’s Empress Business Centre in Trafford is a 40-office site which is at almost 100% occupancy. For this reason it has been chosen as a ‘pilot’ to showcase new corporate branding and a bespoke interior design scheme.

An open event will take place at the business centre on Chester Road – formerly the Empress Brewery – on Friday July 15.

The day will showcase the centre’s stylish new interior scheme, which gives a modern feel and takes design references from nearby Media City. The Manchester skyline will feature on corridor walls and the centre will be given a ‘home from home’ feel with mismatched classic and modern furniture, natural wood features and eyecatching colours and graphics.

The scheme has been planned and carried out by Territory Interior Design, one of Bizspace’s customers at Atlantic Business Centre in Altrincham, and Bizspace sales and marketing director, Emma Long, with a view to appealing directly to their key target markets of start-ups, microbusinesses and small companies, as well as giving such businesses the ideal workspace in which to flourish.

Communal spaces, such as the reception, meeting rooms, bathrooms and kitchens, have all been overhauled to make best use of space and provide a bright, contemporary and uplifting environment. Brand new technology has also been introduced including high speed 100mbps broadband throughout the centre and co-working space, state-of-the-art AV equipment in meeting rooms and innovative white-board walls in a pod environment in reception for brainstorming.

The launch will also showcase Bizspace’s new branding for the very first time. The brand has been created after five years of internal development of the company’s values and vision, focusing on the celebration of its customers – a process which all staff have been involved with. Bizspace’s ethos is to act as a ‘silent partner’ to its customers, offering support and guidance when needed and allowing companies the facilities and structure to be able to grow and develop.

Business centre manager, Simon Fennell, said he was delighted that Empress has been chosen as Bizspace’s first new-look site.

“We see this as helping to extend the city centre towards Trafford, tying in with a brand new hotel and leisure complex over the road,” he said.

“By offering superior city-feel accommodation and facilities for highly competitive rates, we can help companies in the area to either get started or take their businesses to the next level. We’re really pleased that Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce shares our excitement and is supporting our launch event.”

Bizspace’s new branding has been developed in line with its company values of Fun, Passion, Professionalism, Teamwork and Honesty. After being previewed at Empress and gaining feedback from customers, it will be launched nationwide to all 97 sites between now and November.

“We are very excited to be debuting our new branding and introducing our spectacular interiors scheme at Empress,” Bizspace’s sales and marketing director, Emma Long, said.

“We carry out a bi-annual customer survey, asking our customers whether they would recommend Bizspace to others, and whether Bizspace delivers all that they expect. We’ve used the results of this survey to focus on how we can enhance our space further to surpass our customers’ expectations. We’re hoping this will be a huge success, but will keep talking to our customers to ensure it works for them.

“All the interior design schemes will be unique, taking inspiration from each centre’s history or surroundings, and will definitely give a huge ‘wow’ factor.”

Any business is welcome to attend the open day, which will include refreshments, guided tours and informal networking. It will run from 11am to 3pm on July 15. Contact Ian Walker on 0161 877 5579 for more information.
