Entries must be made before midnight on Monday 18th July 2016, with ten categories to choose from, including the all-new ‘Best use of Digital’ and ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ awards, and the popular, established ‘Manufacturing Excellence’ and ‘Director of the Year’ awards.

Entries are free and can be made via the Awards’ website www.familybusinessawards – which includes profiles and information about all the categories, and tips on what the judges are looking for.

Entry is quick and simple thanks to a dedicated online entry platform developed and launched this year.

“The Midlands Family Business Awards are a truly unique, independent, not-for-profit initiative in the region that recognise and celebrate the work and achievements of family owned businesses and their leaders,” says Charlotte Perkins, MD of The Wilson Organisation and part of the Awards’ team.

“All Midlands-based family businesses and their leaders can enter completely free of charge, but the clock is ticking, and they have less than two weeks left to make their submission.”

Year-on-year, the Awards have grown in strength, popularity and awareness, as Charlotte explains: “They bring together a network of 1,000 family businesses that is also an incredible community of individuals and businesses all with one common goal - to raise awareness of the contribution the family business sector makes both in the Midlands and nationally, and to reward and acknowledge their work, successes and sustainability.

“As their organisers, we continue to strive to build on the Awards’ amazing legacy and incredible support. As a not-for-profit initiative, we are indebted to the support of our sponsors, without whom the Awards would simply not be possible.”

Also new for 2106 is the People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Streets Accountants, which will involve all shortlisted finalists in the Awards’ ten judged categories automatically entering into the People’s Choice Award and facing the public vote to find the overall Winner and Highly Commended businesses.
