Bynder, the marketing technology firm, has announced the closure of a €20m Series A funding round from New York venture capital firm Insight Venture Partners.
The funding is set to support the European business, who are Amsterdam-headquartered but have a London office, as it furthers its worldwide expansion plans and will allow the firm to carry out further product development.
Working with clients such as KLM and Logitech, the Software as a Service (SaaS) firm provides companies with creating, managing and using digital content as part of its marketing through Bynder’s online platform, in an approach that it describes as ‘brand automation’.
Since it was founded in 2013, Bynder’s user base of over 150,000 across more than 350 global brands and now boasts a team of over 200 people in offices dotted around the world.
In June the firm also opened its newest office in Dubai as it looks to cement a footing in the Middle East.
Expanding on the firm’s approach, Chris Hall, who founded Bynder and is also its Chief Executive Office, said: “What Salesforce did for sales tech, Bynder can do for brands. The cloud is allowing marketers to work faster and smarter, freeing up time for creative and strategic initiatives instead of repetitive administrative tasks.
“Branding automation lets marketers respond to real-time issues because there is a foundation for brand materials, which is accessible and consistent across the business. This new category of Mar-Tech will be a game changer for any brand.”
Following this new round of funding, Jeff Horing, Managing Director, Insight Venture Partners described Bynder as a ‘clear innovator’.
He added: “We share their vision for comprehensive brand management technology that enables teams to seamlessly communicate as they create content. We are pleased to partner with Bynder’s executive leadership team in this new phase of growth.”
