RSM’s Yorkshire dealmakers continue strong year after acting on deals worth over £130m
The corporate finance team at RSM - the audit, tax and consulting firm - has acted on deals totaling over £130m so far this year.
The Yorkshire-based team has advised on a range of major deals, including the disposal of flexible packaging specialist Synpac to AIM-listed company Plastics Capital plc; the disposal of JSC International, a Harrogate-based business providing consultancy services in the chemical sector, to ERM, a sustainability consultancy with revenues of circa $1bn; and the landmark refinancing deal from Muzinich’s private debt fund to Securus Group.
Steve Hubbard, corporate finance partner at RSM, said: “The corporate finance market can be seen as a barometer for business confidence, and despite the economic uncertainty we’ve had a strong year working on a range of significant deals.
“This hasn’t slowed down following the Brexit decision and there is still a good level of activity in the local market.
“Our pipeline looks strong, which is testimony to the expertise and capability in our team, but it also signals confidence from Yorkshire businesses and investors, which is a great news for the M&A market generally.”
RSM’s UK corporate finance team provides specialist advice to private and public mid-market businesses.
The team has specialist advisers across M&A and private equity, capital markets, due diligence, financial modelling and plc advisory, and has collectively advised on over 1,100 transactions in the last five years.
