AMF and Horizonworks launch quarterly manufacturing marketing event
The North East Advanced Manufacturing Forum (AMF), working with Newcastle-based Horizonworks, has announced the launch of a quarterly event to stimulate strategic marketing within the region’s manufacturing industry.
The first event, ‘Navigating through the marketing maze – getting the basics right’ will feature a range of guest speakers and marketing experts who will cover everything from strategy to funding, to marketing for export.
Established by the private sector to offer a single voice on behalf of the manufacturing community, the AMF is now the largest manufacturing forum in the region.
The launch of its Marketing Club adds to its Finance and HR Forums, created in the last couple of years.
Samantha Davidson, managing director at Horizonworks, will be presenting at the launch and said of the AMF Marketing Club: “We are delighted to be working with the Advanced Manufacturing Forum on this programme of events.
“We aim to help manufacturers in the region maximise the impact of their marketing spend and identify the best tactics to help their business stand out from competitors.”
Also, speaking at the inaugural event will be Julie Skevington, director at Sincero, a business funding and growth solutions provider; Colin Simpson, business development director at pump distributor and manufacturer Tomlinson Hall and Gill Main, business development manager at marine and engineering company Tyne and Wear Marine.
Jack Hanwell, AMF manufacturing sector development manager, said: “At each event the AMF Marketing Club will cover new subjects such as digital media, branding and marketing for export, the aim of which is to continuously grow the capabilities and success of the North East’s manufacturing firms.”
The event, which is free to attend, will be held at The Quadrus Centre, Boldon Colliery 12-2pm Thursday 6 October 2016, and is open to all manufacturing companies in the North East.
Jack added: “We will utilise the experience and expertise of industry leads and draw from real industry examples to demonstrate the benefits of marketing within the manufacturing sector.”
