easyJet to launch winter flights from Leeds Bradford Airport for sixth year
Leeds Bradford Airport is once again set to see the return of easyJet for the winter ski season, with four weekly flights to Geneva.
For the sixth year, easyJet will launch the ski route from LBA on December 10th until April 13th.
More than 20,000 seats will be available throughout the schedule at Leeds Bradford Airport, with prices starting at just £32.99.
Tony Hallwood, aviation development director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “With the winter season upon us now, it’s fantastic to confirm the return of easyJet at LBA.
“Geneva is an incredibly popular leisure route through the winter season, as it’s ideally placed for ski and snowboard holiday breaks in Europe at good prices.
“As the region’s international airport, we are focused upon offering the very best schedules for all of our passengers to enjoy convenient access to Europe and beyond.
“We look forward to welcoming easyJet back at LBA for the winter season and offering their customers fantastic levels of service as they fly in and out of LBA.”
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Commercial manager, commented: “Each winter our flights from Leeds Bradford to Geneva prove ever more popular with skiers and snowboarders and we expect this coming winter to be no exception.
“easyJet flies more than three times more frequently to and from Europe’s ski destinations than any other UK airline and Geneva is our largest gateway.
“We carry 190,000 passengers to Geneva every week throughout the season and on any given Saturday in January, we have up to 88 flights and carry over 12,000 customers throughout the day into Geneva alone.”
