Nicholson’s Transport deemed excellent by The Pallet Network
NICHOLSON’S Transport has secured top industry recognition from one of the country’s biggest pallet distribution networks.
The Billingham-based business has been awarded the Certificate of Operational Excellence from The Pallet Network, which represents hundreds of transport companies across the UK.
The accreditation recognises Nicholson’s commitment to customer service, improving communication with customers and consistently meeting delivery times.
David Nicholson, Managing Director of Nicholson’s Transport, said: “This is a major achievement for a transport business such as ourselves, as it is all about driving up standards within the sector and being able to prove we exceed those benchmarks.
“The accreditation process is rigorous and demanding and there is a huge amount of credit due to our transport team, who have worked solidly to maintain high standards.”
The Pallet Network, formed in 2000, and is one of the UK’s leading freight distribution networks, offering services throughout the UK and Ireland, as well as Europe and Scandinavia. The network operates on a hub and spoke model with transport companies taking pallets into a hub in Sutton Coldfield and Preston, before they are delivered on to customers. The hubs handle more than 60,000 pallets per week.
Nicholson’s Transport, which is a founding member of the Pallet Network, has received the accreditation in relation to its 55,000 sq ft warehouse in Billingham.
