Fashion brand Finery partners with Klarna as it looks to scale internationally
European payment provider Klarna has partnered with UK fashion brand Finery to fuel the womenswear retailer’s international expansion.
The brand, which was launched in 2014, has experienced rapid growth in the last two years, turning over £5m in its first year and heading for triple digit growth this year, leading to its domestic and international expansion aspirations.
Finery’s partnership with Swedish ecommerce firm Klarna will attempt to streamline the brand’s checkout process, giving shoppers the option to make a purchase using just their email and postcode.
Users will also be able to benefit from Klarna’s pay after delivery service, giving customers the option to try out orders before paying for the items they wish to keep up to 14 days after delivery.
Luke Griffiths, UK General Manager of Klarna explained that the payment provider’s system helps to boost conversion rates and help drive growth for brand’s like Finery by bridging the gap between online and offline shopping.
He said: “Making the online payments process simple, smooth and safe for shoppers will help online retailers like Finery boost conversion rates and drive growth in their markets.
“As the partnership progresses, we look forward to working with the brand on data-driven marketing and personalised targeting to help reduce abandoned baskets and increase loyalty.”
The partnership is another UK tie up for the firm after it struck a deal with Arcadia Group, the parent company of fashion brands including Topshop and Miss Selfridge, in September as it continues to battle the likes of Paypal and Stripe for online payment dominance.
Following the announcement, Luca Marini, Chief Operating Officer at Finery, added: “We strive to be at the forefront of eCommerce offering a simple, hassle-free browsing and buying experience. To win in the hypercompetitive fashion eCommerce space, we need to eliminate friction for our customers and our choice of Klarna goes exactly in that direction.”
