Karol Marketing launches new business hub

Newcastle-based Karol Marketing welcomes Boxmodel and biddible as it launches new creative hub.

Karol Marketing has opened a new hub for creative agencies in the North East at its premises in Newcastle’s creative quarter – the Ouseburn Valley. The award-winning marketing and PR agency has welcomed its first partners to the space, online Paid Search specialists biddible and software and app developers Boxmodel Digital.

Located in an old pub, Karol’s iconic Ouseburn offices provide over 6,000 square foot of high quality office space to creative agencies with a collaborative mindset.

Each of the companies joining Karol offers complimentary yet distinct creative services – with biddible and Boxmodel joining Karol Marketing and graphic designers Brandnew Future already in the space. And, with one more high quality office space available, Karol Marketing is still on the lookout for a final complimentary company to complete the team in The Old Pub.

Speaking at the launch of the hub, Stefan Lepkowski, MD of Karol and owner of The Old Pub said: “There is huge potential for companies across the digital and creative industries to work together. Clients increasingly want us to collaborate across the digital spectrum and to provide them with an integrated, holistic service. That’s how the idea for establishing a creative hub was born, and where better to establish it than in an Old Pub!

“I believe our offer is different because like mindedness underpins our idea of creative hub concept. We are not looking for tenants but rather searching for business partners who share a common vision and demonstrate it through open and active collaboration. I am thrilled to have biddible and Boxmodel join us and we are already presenting joined up campaigns to our clients.”

Paul Hutton, Managing MD, Boxmodel said: “Making the move to the Old Pub was a decision which needed little consideration. It was immediately clear that it was not only a highly impressive home for our North East offices, with arguably the best views of Newcastle, but the co-habitation with likeminded experts, from complementing sectors, would aid our continued growth strategy.”

He continued: “We are enthused at working in this vibrant environment, which promotes a collaborative approach to delivering emerging technologies, marketing and commercial services with attention to detail being at the core.”

John Cave, Director, biddible said: “We scouted high and low for the right office space. We wanted to be in Newcastle, but directly in the centre of town. The Old Pub was the perfect choice for us, it brought us into a creative environment with like-minded and complimentary businesses. The building also has great personality and a great view of the city.

“We’ve planned out the next 3 years of our business and our new office space is integral to that growth. Our team have immediately felt at home and we’re looking forward to what the future brings.”

Karol Marketing is one of the most awarded public relations and marketing agencies in the North East of England. As well as winning the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ PR Consultancy Team of the Year Award five times, MD Stefan Lepkowski has been profiled five times in the PR Week Power Book, the annual guide to the UK’s most influential PR professionals. Established in 1992, Karol Marketing will next year celebrate its 25th birthday.

Its client base includes businesses operating across the aviation, healthcare, security, chemical and engineering industries. The agency has specialist corporate, B2B and crisis management teams, as well as a consumer lifestyle and brand PR division that works with leading brands in the UK and Europe.
