Middlesbrough FC hope to end season on a high with new deal
Middlesbrough Football Club has agreed a deal until the end of the season with Newcastle International Airport, with an option to extend the partnership.
The airport’s logo, ‘Newcastle International: Your Airport’, will be on display throughout The Riverside Stadium and across the club’s social media platforms during the agreed time.
Moreover, the club and the airport will work together to highlight new developments and look to benefit the local community with tickets and flight giveaways throughout the season.
Located less than an hour’s drive from The Riverside, this latest partnership comes as Newcastle Airport looks to continue to grow its catchment area in southern parts of the North East.
Lee Fryett, Head of Partnerships at Middlesbrough Football Club, said: “We are delighted to announce Newcastle International Airport as our latest partner.
“As our partnership programme continues to grow it’s great to be able to add another regional partner whose services can be of a benefit to our fan base.
“We are also looking forward to working with the airport to promote its service and help promote the region internationally.”
John Irving, Business Development Director at Newcastle International Airport, added: “It’s exciting times to be a Middlesbrough fan with the team back in the Premier League and we are delighted to have signed this exciting partnership.
“Our goal is to be the UK’s most welcoming airport and as we start to see more Boro’ shirts in the terminal, we believe this partnership offers the perfect platform for us to highlight all of the great destinations available from Newcastle International.”
