Leeds digital agency stands Tall after acquiring Huddersfield-based counterpart

Tall, the Leeds-based digital creative agency, has completed the acquisition fellow Yorkshire digital agency 79.

The deal will strengthen Tall’s offering across a range of technical services such as net development, email marketing, CRM and data management.

The first brand formally to benefit from the agencies joining forces and expanded offering is SkyBet.

Tall has been commissioned by SkyBet to support them in improving their acquisition advertising across Sky Sports online platforms. Results have given an uplift of up to 54% on the best performing banners.

Tall’s acquisition of 79 comes as Leeds has identified creative and digital industries as a key growth sector. Leeds City Region contributes £3bn GVA1 to the regional economy, with digital jobs in the region predicted to grow at 10 times the rate of non-digital.

Guy Utley, creative director at Tall said: “Leeds is on the rise in the creative and digital sectors and we are keen to seize the opportunity.

“Our vision has always placed creative thinking at the heart of everything we do for our clients, in order to make the user experience the best it can be. Creative thinking means technical solutions too, and with the specialist technological expertise that comes with 79, we are in a really strong position to deliver a complete user experience in-house.

“We know, from having worked together on recent projects, that we share the same values and work ethic and we’re over the moon that we now have such a breadth of capabilities and talent under one roof.”

79, which was previously based in Huddersfield, was set up in 2004 by director Behrooz Saeed who has made the move to Tall. The agency’s clients included Bathstore, Chiltern Railways and Stagecoach.
