Leeds printing business creates 10 new jobs following move to larger HQ
Leeds Graphic Press has completed the purchase of a new premises and a new Ryobi 4 colour press after securing funding from NatWest and Lombard.
This expansion will give the printing business more space to support its growth plans, create 10 new jobs and retain the 30 strong workforce in Leeds.
In addition, the business is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, with founders Keith and Sylvia Stead launching the business in 1977. Leeds Graphic Press is now run by their sons Philip and David Stead.
NatWest supported and financed the business in funding the purchase, which has seen the business relocate to a new site on Millennium Drive.
Philip Stead, managing director, said: “Both NatWest and Lombard understood our needs and were able to help us with a property and fit out deal that suited the needs of the business. The whole process has been seamless.
“As a family-owned company we are determined to stay true to our roots and remain in the area.
“This funding has allowed us to retain all of our employees and hopefully they see the investment as a strong sign of commitment and long-term ambition for growth.”
Leeds Graphic Press provides digital and litho print solutions, as well as design and finishing services, across a range of channels.
Oliver Bell-Syer, NatWest senior relationship manager, commented: “Leeds Graphic Press is a quality business with a large workforce from the local area. By keeping the business in Leeds the directors have not only been able to retain jobs, but have created new roles too.
“They have strong ambitions to expand their services at the new site, with the new Ryobi 4 colour press supporting this, and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
