Barnsley Superstars Win National Award
A local shopping centre in Barnsley is celebrating winning two Superstar Awards in the Revo Achieving Customer Excellence (ACE) Awards.
Dave Hague, Customer Care Officer and Greg Lindley, Cleaning Supervisor, from the Alhambra Shopping Centre were just 2 of 9 people who won the prestigious retail award from over 400 participants.
The Revo ACE Awards, part of the Shopping Centre Management Conference, was held in Brighton last month (22-23 March) and recognises outstanding customer experience in retail outlets.
There were over 400 entries this year, including security personnel, cleaning operatives and other facility managers, who were each visited by a mystery shopper to evaluate their customer service skills.
This was then narrowed down to a shortlist of 50 finalists who were put through a second secret shopper challenge and reviewed by an ACE judging panel. 9 of those stood out from the crowd, landing the industry renowned, Superstar Award.
Dave Hague, 53 of Brinckman Street, Barnsley said: “It feels amazing to have won an ACE Superstar Award and I think the fact the Alhambra won 2 of 9 shows just how committed we all are to customer service. We work hard to ensure customers get an enjoyable shopping experience and it’s great to be recognised for this.”
Greg Lindley, 24 from Worsbrough Dale, Barnsley added: “I am delighted the Alhambra has won 2 of the 9 ACE Superstar Awards and I want to thank the management team for giving me the opportunity to win such a prestigious award.”
