Conversion Rate Experts wins Queen’s Award for Enterprise

Conversion Rate Experts, the UK-based consultancy that scientifically optimises the profitability of online businesses, has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category.

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is granted to British businesses for outstanding achievement in one of four categories: international trade, innovation, sustainable development and promoting opportunity (through social mobility). Her Majesty The Queen grants the awards on the advice of the Prime Minister; they are announced annually on the 21 April, The Queen’s birthday.

The Queen will present the awards in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace later in the year.

Conversion Rate Experts won the accolade in the “innovation” category, in recognition of its success in codifying a scientific methodology that industry leaders like Google, Facebook, Amazon and Apple now use to improve websites. As the world’s largest consultancy that focuses solely on conversion rate optimisation (a term it coined in 2007), the company has measurably grown hundreds of businesses in over 80 different sectors. Its founder, Karl Blanks, is a “rocket scientist”— having a Ph.D. from Cambridge University for developing new high-temperature materials for use in combustion chambers.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise is an awards programme for British businesses and other organisations who excel at international trade, innovation or sustainable development. They are the highest official UK awards for British businesses. Previous winners have reported substantial benefits including increased staff morale, boosts to turnover and international trade and recognition. Research of International Trade winners between 2012 to 2015 carried out by the University of Strathclyde, showed that 73% of respondents directly attribute increased international sales to winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
