Conversion Rate Experts wins Queen’s Award for Enterprise
Conversion Rate Experts, the UK-based consultancy that scientifically optimises the profitability of online businesses, has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is granted to British businesses for outstanding achievement in one of four categories: international trade, innovation, sustainable development and promoting opportunity (through social mobility). Her Majesty The Queen grants the awards on the advice of the Prime Minister; they are announced annually on the 21 April, The Queen’s birthday.
The Queen will present the awards in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace later in the year.
Conversion Rate Experts won the accolade in the “innovation” category, in recognition of its success in codifying a scientific methodology that industry leaders like Google, Facebook, Amazon and Apple now use to improve websites. As the world’s largest consultancy that focuses solely on conversion rate optimisation (a term it coined in 2007), the company has measurably grown hundreds of businesses in over 80 different sectors. Its founder, Karl Blanks, is a “rocket scientist”— having a Ph.D. from Cambridge University for developing new high-temperature materials for use in combustion chambers.
Karl Blanks, chairman and founder of Conversion Rate Experts, comments: “To be awarded the Queen’s Prize for Enterprise is incredible testimony to the hard work of our talented staff, not simply in growing our business but in improving our entire industry.”
“Our business depends on our ability to do something that’s almost impossibly hard: to measurably improve the world’s most sophisticated websites. It’s a challenge we have stepped up to, codifying a methodology that is scientific and that consistently makes websites better.”
“We’re a truly multinational team, based in the UK but working remotely across seven different countries. This is a real asset for us, as we can serve clients across 22 countries in 9 languages and build a client list more prestigious than any US consultancy. 76% of our revenue comes from overseas, making us relatively immune to Brexit. And the results we have achieved are better than anything we could have hoped for.”
“Innovation is our business. It helps us to stand out as one of the few marketing companies that focuses on measurable results. We stick our necks on the line by insisting we carry out scientific A/B tests to verify that we’ve significantly grown each client’s business. We were the first consultancy to do this and we are proud to have led this change in the industry.”
Conversion Rate Experts will be presented with their award at their offices by the Lord-Lieutenant of the county of Staffordshire at a date to be agreed after 21 April.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise is an awards programme for British businesses and other organisations who excel at international trade, innovation or sustainable development. They are the highest official UK awards for British businesses. Previous winners have reported substantial benefits including increased staff morale, boosts to turnover and international trade and recognition. Research of International Trade winners between 2012 to 2015 carried out by the University of Strathclyde, showed that 73% of respondents directly attribute increased international sales to winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
Conversion Rate Experts (CRE) is the world’s leading agency for conversion rate optimization (CRO)—a term that it coined in 2007. It has helped to grow some of the web’s most sophisticated companies, including Apple, Amazon, Facebook, Google and Dropbox—and many traditional enterprises and smaller businesses.
CRE increases the profits of businesses scientifically, by carrying out experiments—A/B-tests—on their websites. It has worked in over 80 different verticals, in 9 languages, and in 22 countries. The tests have been carried out on billions of users, generating billions in revenue for its clients. The company has over 55 testimonials and video testimonials, many of which describe how CRE more-than-doubled the clients’ sales.
