New Chester base for growing fintech company Businesscomparison.com

Fintech firm Businesscomparison.com has relocated to a bigger office in Chester after growing its user base to 30k monthly visitors.

The online company, which helps small business owners compare deals on bank accounts, commercial mortgages, business energy and insurance, is now based in the listed Steam Mill building in the city centre.

Businesscomparison.com’s new office has been refurbished to include a living wall, library room and bespoke graffiti wall.

The site also features a gaming area for staff to unwind at the end of the day, along with informal spaces where ideas can be discussed and developed.

Since its launch in 2015, the digital business has steadily expanded and now employs a team of eight.

Businesscomparison.com’s aim is to have helped 50% of UK SMEs, over 2.6m users, in its first five years.

In 2016, the company appointed two channel managers to enable its comparison website to offer financial, energy and insurance solutions to even more business owners.

Philip Brennan, the head of Businesscomparison.com, said: “The team have worked hard to develop and grow a business that we’re all really proud of. The move to larger premises represents the growth of the company and we’re excited to fill the extra space with more staff over the coming years as we look to expand and offer even more products to business customers.

“We launched Businessnesscomparison.com just over two years ago, as an online comparison tool for business owners to find the best deals on products and services that are essential to their daily running and success.”

He continued: “As a growing company, we know the financial pressures faced by SMEs up and down the country and tailor our website to make life easier for them at a time when there is uncertainty in the business community.

“Careful planning has gone into the design of the new office space that allows us to nurture partnerships and create new business opportunities. We’re proud of our heritage in Chester and the look and feel of the new space has been designed with our brand in mind. We’re very excited about the future.”
