PPB invests £1.25m in move to new premises at Cross Green in Leeds

PPB Ltd has completed its move to a converted warehouse and office premises at Cross Green in the North East of Leeds.

The company is an independently owned distributor and converter of point of purchase materials and substrates to the screen print, digital and large format markets.

The relocation includes the company’s in-house sheeting and re-rewinding equipment.

Supported by Shulmans LLP, the move has enabled PPB to increase its capabilities and storage to over 60,000 sq ft of warehouse space, meaning the business can now offer faster order response times through improved workflow from goods-in, conversion, to goods-out; coupled with an increased number of loading bays, improved picking productivity and enhanced stock management.

The new warehouse is also home to PPB’s paper based products along with its new industrial plastics unit and Westland digital display portfolio.

The move, which represents an investment of £1.25m, will enable PBB to continue its expansion plans and accommodate a larger work force.

Richard Proctor, managing director for PPB, said: “Leeds was the latest stage in our strategic growth plan. With good road links to the North and the M1 to the South, we are now well placed to both accept incoming deliveries from our suppliers and to give fast and effective access to the rest of the UK for our own deliveries to customers.

“This investment is part of our ongoing strategy to provide the widest range of Plastic, Paper & Board, display materials and finishing services for the screen print and digital display markets.

“Our investment in machinery and stock now allows us to provide a high value service to sign makers, fabricators and wide format digital markets.”

Simon Jackson, partner and head of commercial property at Shulmans LLP, acted on behalf of PPB Ltd.

He said: “We are delighted to have played a key role in PPB’s relocation. We dealt with the disposal of the company’s previously owned site, handled the transitional arrangements and secured the move and development into purpose built premises. This enabled PPB to realise its ambitions of growth within the region.

“We worked very closely with Richard and his management team to facilitate a smooth a transition to the new location assisting them on the complex legal and practical issues that are peculiar to owners and occupiers.

“We are confident that PPB is now well placed to continue being a leading name in the sector and have the space to expand its business operations for years to come.”
