SugarCRM Welcomes Kai Petzelt as Vice President of Product Marketing
SugarCRM announced today that Kai Petzelt has joined the company as vice president of product marketing. Kai will lead the creation and communication of messaging and positioning for the company’s CRM and relationship intelligence product lines.
“Kai’s deep insight and experience related to CRM and improving the customer experience will allow him to jump in and guide our go-to-market strategy right away,” said Clint Oram, co-founder and CMO at SugarCRM. “He joins us at the perfect time, just as SugarCRM hits the accelerator on product innovation. He is a fantastic addition to the marketing team.”
Petzelt joins SugarCRM from SAP SuccessFactors, where he served as vice president of product marketing. In that role, he built content marketing strategy and managed a global team of product marketing managers for the company’s HCM (human capital management) suite of products. Prior to SAP SuccessFactors, he was the director of product marketing for the CRM solutions line of business at SAP.
“With its exclusive focus on helping companies build customer relationships, SugarCRM is one of the most disruptive players in the CRM market,” Petzelt said. “I’m honored to lead and expand SugarCRM’s messaging, positioning and brand awareness, and to help launch a series of innovative new products that will continue to change how the market views CRM.”
SugarCRM recently launched SugarCRM Hint, the debut product from the company’s new relationship intelligence product line. Forthcoming relationship intelligence products from the company are expected to rely on predictive analytics and machine learning techniques to make intelligent recommendations for next actions, priorities, and insights, all to build better business relationships.
