Fifth Dimension Chocolates are set to launch new travel-inspired treats this weekend

Luxury chocolatier Fifth Dimension Chocolates will be unveiling three brand new, travel-inspired handmade chocolates at The Chocolate Show this weekend.

Self-taught when it comes to chocolate making, co-founders Russell Pullan and Albert Chau set up the business in late 2013 and have since created an array of chocolate treats inspired by their globetrotting.

With an aim to constantly innovate and deliver sensory experiences in each of their creations, the duo’s latest additions to their collection are inspired by Warsaw, Kolkata and Montreal.

Fifth Dimension Chocolates’ event stand will give visitors the first opportunity to taste the three new products, the fruity “Blackcurrant & Pernod”, aromatic “Chai” and white chocolate ganache “Brie”, as well as showcasing their updated Bogotá “Coffee Panela Caramel, made with Colombian non-refined raw cane juice sugar.

Attendees at The Chocolate Show, Olympia National Hall, London, will be able to enjoy sweet treats across the weekend, as well as celebrity chef demonstrations, workshops and a pop-up chocolate restaurant.

Commenting on their new treats, Russell Pullan and Albert Chau, Co-founders of Fifth Dimension Chocolates, said: “Montreal (Brie Chocolate) is based on a meal many years ago in this beautiful Canadian city where we first had a cooked cheese dish, rather than just a selection of cheeses on a cheese board, between main course and dessert.

“The new texture and flavour open our imagination, and it has taken us several years of development to get this cheese chocolate just right.”

“Apart from some of the more unusual and innovative flavours, this year we have also revisited a somewhat forgotten classic combination of Blackcurrant & Pernod, and it has been named Warsaw as this was the city which has brought this combination to the front of our minds once again”

This year’s Chocolate Show coincides with the International Chocolate Awards (ICA) World Final, where the duo’s vibrant Rio de Janeiro “Banana Cardamom Caramel” and Cape Town “Curry & Raisins” are in the running, having both been awarded a prestigious Gold at the ICA’s British National Competition earlier this year.

The chocolatier duo added: “We were in Rio de Janeiro last Christmas and we experienced so many delicious dishes using fresh fruit and spices to give an explosion of flavours in this beautiful city. We decided to use banana as the basis of our new chocolate this year, and added cardamom to give an extra dimension in flavour.”

Show guests visting Fifth Dimensions Chocolates’ stand will be able to choose from a full collection of 22 luxury handmade filled chocolates, purchasing these individually with a special discount of six chocolates for the price of five, or designing their own “Personal Selection Box” of 12 or 18 chocolates.

The duo will also be offering their recently-introduced versatile caramel sauces for the exclusive show price of £5.00 per jar, or £4.50 each for three jars or more; ideal for Christmas hamper gifts or foodie stocking fillers.
