Leeds print and digital agency wins Ministry of Defence contract worth £6m per annum
Leeds-based CDS has secured a new print management and digital solutions contract with the Ministry of Defence, which is worth £6m a year.
The print and digital agency won the contract following a mini-tender competition under Lot 2 of the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) end-to-end print and digital solutions Framework RM3785.
Using a transparent pricing model, CDS will provide a complete print and digital solution including operational delivery of print requirements with supply chain sourcing and management, as well as associated services.
These will include sourcing all raw materials, such as paper and envelopes.
Aidan O’Mara, Defence Commercial, said: “CDS emerged from the competitive tender exercise as the overall winner on quality and price.
“CDS will be able to provide expertise, help and guidance to drive savings and the necessary insight to move the MOD toward digital solutions where appropriate. We are extremely pleased to be working with CDS again.”
The MOD contract, which has a value of £6m pa, was re-won by CDS after a five-year gap.
David Burton, CCS director, commented: “We’re absolutely delighted to have won the contract back. We have a busy few weeks ahead as we mobilise the arrangement in time for a December 1st start.
“We’re looking forward to re-establishing operations in Norwich and welcoming back into our organisation a great team of print professionals who will continue to service the MOD’s requirement under our new management.”
Mark Gair, CDS’ managing director, added: “Winning the MOD contract is the result of having a great team here at CDS, able to demonstrate and prove commercial viability and technical excellence.
“We can make a real difference to the MOD, helping to transform communications, by optimising our client’s use of both print and digital channels. This win shows the strength of CDS’ continuous growth strategy in the public sector, one of the company’s core business development areas.”
