Ian Scott Bell bolsters Digital Allies' senior management team

One of the North East’s burgeoning digital marketing businesses has made a key strategic appointment as it looks to capitalise on its regional, national and international growth potential.

Ian Scott Bell has joined the senior management team at Houghton-le-Spring headquartered Digital Allies as well as making an investment in the business, and brings with him a wealth of blue chip experience, having spent the best part of two decades in senior business development roles at Procter and Gamble, recruitment business Nigel Wright, and Sedbergh School in Cumbria.

Scott Bell, as a new director and investor, will take a place on the board at Digital Allies, and believes the company has huge untapped potential due to its “unique, collaborative approach” with clients.

A Digital Allies client himself while working as director of marketing and recruitment at Sedbergh School, Scott Bell feels the company’s partnership-based working is perfectly in tune with today’s complex, fragmented digital space which businesses often find confusing and overwhelming.

Scott Bell said: “Clearly the digital landscape is constantly evolving but the need for businesses to incorporate digital marketing into their day-to-day activities will become increasingly important and for certain businesses essential for their long-term survival.

“Digital Allies stands out because not only has it developed a deep understanding of the technology, it has also developed work processes to help clients get the most out of digital channels.

“The company’s collaborative approach is rare in today’s marketplace as it takes the time to listen to the client and only sell the client what they need.

“I was on the buying side at Sedbergh School and Digital Allies equipped my team to take on all of our digital marketing in-house, by optimising our analytics account and helping set up our display, remarketing and adwords campaigns for us to manage.”

Steven Parker, managing director at Digital Allies, said: “Ian brings a wealth of experience gathered over a long service within the marketing discipline, and has a great understanding of traditional marketing strategies and tactics that some digital agencies often overlook as they either don’t understand them fully, or believe they have no place in a modern business strategy.

“He has a great deal of experience that both our clients and Digital Allies will benefit greatly from. His career to date has been client side so he really understands the challenges that in-house teams face on a daily basis – something that many agencies struggle to achieve.”

Digital Allies provides a broad spectrum of digital marketing services including data analytics, digital marketing consultancy and training, social media management, Google Adwords management, web design and development and SEO.
