Pret A Manger and MELI Patisserie announced as newest additions at Trinity Leeds

Pret A Manger and MELI Patisserie have boosted the food offering at Trinity Leeds.

Pret A Manger opens its doors at Trinity Leeds Thursday 29th March, expanding its presence within the city.

The new 2,076 sq ft store is located on the shopping centre’s first floor, next to The Entertainer, offering customers a selection of freshly made sandwiches, salads, soups and baguettes alongside organic coffee made by Pret’s expert baristas.

MELI Patisserie officially opens on Friday 30th March, bringing a selection of handcrafted Greek treats.

MELI Patisserie is opening a permanent kiosk on the ground floor of the centre, outside H&M and Carphone Warehouse, featuring cakes, savoury pastries, mini ices and ice cream. To complement the cakes, pastries and ices, MELI will serve a selection of fine coffee and a variety of teas.

Dan Wharton, marketing manager at Trinity Leeds, said: “At Trinity Leeds, we strive to offer customers the best possible experience. We are delighted to see MELI Patisserie returning following its success at Trinity Kitchen and the opening of both retailers will continue to improve our food offering at the centre.”

Rhianna, general manager at the new Pret A Manger shop, added: “Pret first opened in Leeds 20 years ago and we’re all thrilled to be opening a new shop in the city, located in the heart of the town centre. Our fantastic team are trained and ready, and we can’t wait to meet our new customers.”

As part of Pret’s commitment to help alleviate the pressures of homelessness in the UK, the Trinity Leeds shop is on the look-out for local charities to donate unsold food to at the end of each day.

Over the past year, Pret’s national scheme has distributed over three million food items to hostels and shelters across the UK.

Juanita Cracchiolo, Pret foundation trust project manager, commented: “We’re currently looking for local charities to support through food donations each night and would love to be contacted by any organisations who feel they could benefit from collecting fresh, unsold food from us in the evenings.”
