Grade-II listed Falcon Tap Pub in York to be transformed into aparthotel scheme

Almero Holdings, the London-based property investment company, has acquired the Falcon Tap pub on Micklegate in York for an undisclosed sum.

Plans are already in place to create an aparthotel scheme on the site, but the public house will be retained.

The Falcon Tap is a four storey Grade-II listed period property located in the city of York. The pub will be retained with planning granted for external alterations.

The remaining site will be converted into an aparthotel with planning granted for the renovation of the upper floors to form two apartments, and construction of two residential blocks to the rear to create nine apartments.

The Falcon Tap is within walking distance of York railway station and other tourist attractions, including York Minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre and Clifford’s Tower.

Acting on behalf of a private client, the specialist markets team at CBRE Leeds sold the Falcon Tap pub to Almero Holdings.
