Double celebration for independent North East estate agency

A North-East based independent estate agency has enjoyed a double celebration as it marks its first year in business at its state-of-the-art premises in County Durham in the same month it reached 5,000 followers on Facebook.

Chester-le-Street-based sales and letting agent, BeeMyHome, has marked the anniversary of its flagship store opening with a string of events, culminating in a celebration at the store.

Established in 2014 as an online-only lettings agency, fast-forward four years and BeeMyHome has undergone an overwhelming transformation. From a striking rebrand to a revised marketing strategy, which uses innovative digital marketing tools to help its client’s properties stand out from the crowd, BeeMyHome has quickly established itself as a forward-thinker in the property market.

“It’s amazing to see how far we have come in such a short space of time,” said Victoria Valentine, director at BeeMyHome.

“Securing our premises in Chester-le-Street was a huge milestone for the business and is something we are extremely proud of so we wanted to celebrate its anniversary in style.

“We couldn’t settle on just one idea on how to celebrate so instead, we held a number of smaller events, starting with a quirky ‘50 metre dachsh’ race between the staff’s three dachshunds which we filmed and uploaded to our Facebook page, and ending with a small party in the branch.

“Hitting the 5,000-follower milestone on Facebook in the same month has just been the icing on the cake. Our digital marketing strategy is a fundamental of our business and what sets us apart from our competitors, so it’s great to see people engaging with us on social media.”

Defining itself as a hybrid between a traditional agent and an online property marketeer, BeeMyHome’s modern and colourful showroom is unlike any other estate agent on the high street.

With customer engagement and satisfaction at the top of its agenda, BeeMyHome encourages in-store assisted property searches. The showroom boasts table-mounted iPads, comfortable seating booths and even a Netflix corner for children to help make house hunting an enjoyable experience for the whole family.

“We always wanted to do things a bit differently,” Victoria added.

“Many people think of property searching and just think of the stress that comes with it. We wanted to turn that perception on its head and turn finding a new home into the enjoyable experience it should be.”

BeeMyHome handles property sales and lettings across the North East and beyond.
