15 new jobs created as Indian grab-and-go food concept uses £300k fund to launch on Bow Lane

Pali Kitchen the Indian grab-and-go food concept, has officially opened a brand new venue on Bow Lane, following a £300k funding package from HSBC.

The loan, combined with financial support from owner Anu Kathuria, has funded the restaurant fit-out, enabling the purchase of new equipment for the Asian-inspired eatery.

A further 15 employees have also been recruited.

The brand’s menu, designed by food consultant Stefan Crosser and Anu’s sister Amita, combines Indian dishes with modern cooking techniques and locally-sourced ingredients.

Dishes include Lamb Yukhni, a traditional mild Kashmiri curry and Kati Rolls, a dish originating in Kolkata.

A wide variety of drinks are also available including a berry and chilli smoothie called ‘The Devil’s Breath’, Chocolate and Raspberry Lassi and Jackfruit Smoothie.

Dale Allen, HSBC’s area director for Business Banking in West London, said: “Anu and his family have a real passion for Asian cuisine and we were delighted to be able to support the opening of Pali Kitchen’s new restaurant on Bow Lane.

“The concept behind the menu is fantastic, bringing popular homemade Indian dishes to London - something we are sure foodies in the local area will love. We can’t wait to see what’s next for this exciting food brand.”

Anu commented: “Opening our restaurant wouldn’t have been possible without the funding support from HSBC, organised by relationship manager Jason Day.

“We can’t wait to get to know our local customers and introduce our food concept to Bow Lane. We’ve designed our menus to be perfect for grab-and-go lunches for customers in the city looking for authentic Indian spice and flavour with a modern twist.”
