Acquisition of Leeds contract cleaning business safeguards 68 jobs
A Leeds-headquartered contract cleaning business has been acquired out of administration, safeguarding the employment of all 68 members of staff and preserving customer contracts.
For more than 40 years, Swift Facilities Management UK Limited (trading as Swift FM) has provided cleaning services to the commercial sector throughout the country, serving both local councils and private businesses.
On 6th July 2018, the business and assets of Swift were acquired by MJF Facilities Management Limited in a pre-packaged sale from its administrator, David Robson of Gaines Robson Insolvency.
Martin Ferguson, managing director of MJF Facilities Management Limited, said: “It’s great news for the company’s staff, suppliers and clients that we have been able to purchase Swift Facilities Management UK Limited, known as Swift FM.
“The business has built a great brand and its acquisition will ensure continuity of trade, giving it a prosperous future serving new and existing valued clients.”
Estelle Brown and Ben Slack of Clarion acted for the administrator on the sale of the business and assets.
Mark Hodgson of Michael Steel provided advice on the marketing of the business and asset valuation.
