Yorkshire's DeliVita Impresses BBC Presenters at Countryfile Live
Yorkshire based DeliVita impressed a plethora of BBC Presenters and celebrity chefs as they hosted the bespoke Countryfile Pizzeria Restaurant at this year’s BBC Countryfile Live at Blenheim Palace Historic House and Gardens in Oxfordshire.
This year marked the show’s 30th anniversary with organisers going bigger than ever as the self-styled ‘world’s biggest country fair’ returned to Woodstock for the third successive year.
The Award Winning DeliVita oven is one of the lightest, traditional clay, wood fired ovens on the market. The Countryfile Pizzeria had over 10 of the ovens fired up to serve daily. The four-day event hosted an estimated 120,000 people.
As temperatures once again soared, many looked for places for shade and the Countryfile Pizzeria by Delivita was a popular place for brunch, lunch and dinner under their cool huge canopy. Over the four days Delivita served over 7,000 pizzas in their pop-up Pizzeria.
Inspired by Italian heritage, DeliVita use the finest organic vegan friendly dough to create authentic Neapolitan Pizzas bursting with wood-fired aromas. Yorkshire based DeliVita served up delicious antipasti and authentic Neapolitan style Italian pizzas in the Countryfile Pizzeria. Diners were able to choose from a range of pizzas (including vegan and vegetarian options). For early visitors to BBC Countryfile Live needing fortification for the day ahead, DeliVita served a breakfast of bacon rolls, pastries and of course proper Italian coffee each morning.
Especially for Countryfile Live, Delivita named a few of their tasty pizzas after some of the much-loved BBC Countryfile Presenters.
Joe Formisano, Founder of DeliVita says;“DeliVita was born through pizza passion, inspired to create perfect wood-fired feasts. We were delighted to host the Countryfile Pizzeria – the only pop up restaurant at this year’s Countryfile live. Our restaurant was situated next to the main stage and we were visited by; many diners, celebrity chefs and many of the presenters themselves came to try out their very own namesake pizza. This was a great opportunity for us to showcase the efficiency of our ovens. At this event we celebrated our love of the great outdoors with a love of fabulous food, all our pizzas use the best artisan ingredients with organic vegan dough and were cooked in the award-winning DeliVita wood-fired ovens, hand-crafted in Britain… Yorkshire!“
Supporting CountryFile Live and the National Trust’s aim to engage, entertain and educate younger visitors to the show, DeliVita also offered Children’s Pizza Classes Younger Countryfile Live visitors created their perfect pizza and had a go at hand stretching dough.
