Huddersfield Agency Celebrates 10 Years of Creativity
Local web design and development agency, Splitpixel, is celebrating 10 years in business this year.
It’s an exciting year of substantial growth for the company, with 12 new client wins so far this year, and projected turnover growth of 10.5% on 2017.
Founded in 2008 by directors Charlie Herke and Greg Smuk, the pair’s first day in their office in Huddersfield’s Media Centre on September 15th just happened to coincide with Lehman Brothers filing for bankruptcy, and the beginning of a recession.
But the town’s businesses had to try and carry on as usual – and the Splitpixel team, which grew to four within its first three years, focused on providing value for money in a time when budgets were tight.
Moving to Heritage Mills in Lindley in 2017 to accommodate the now-11-strong team, Splitpixel have developed their offering into a full-service digital agency specialising in design, web development, content creation, search and digital marketing.
Key clients include: Leeds Playhouse, the largest regional repertory theatre in the UK outside of London; the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield; Arville, the UK’s leading technical textiles manufacturer; global software provider Avolution; and Huddersfield University’s Student Union.
Director, Charlie Herke, has accredited their success to their focus on creativity and customer service. She said: “We’re really proud to have hit this huge milestone. Our mindset of good value, honest advice and supportive partnerships was formed in tough times, but it’s what businesses need – no matter what the world throws at them.”
“We’ve seen huge changes in digital over the last ten years. Splitpixel has constantly evolved with these changes, providing creative solutions for businesses. We’d like to thank everyone who’s supported us over the last decade.”
To celebrate, the Splitpixel team have launched a 10th anniversary video highlighting how things have changed over their decade in business.
