Car aftercare platform in fast lane with £900k Seedrs campaign
Car aftercare platform MyCarNeedsA.com is revving up with a six-figure campaign on equity crowdfunding website Seedrs.
The company, which offers comparison tools for vehicle servicing, MoT testing and routine maintenance, has an investment target of £900k.
MyCarNeedsA.com has nationwide coverage of over 4,000 garages and has helped more than 500,000 users to date.
It has also established partnerships with manufacturers and leading brands in the car aftercare market, including Protyre, Halfords, Volkswagen and Formula 1.
MyCarNeedsA.com is seeking funding to attract more car owners to its platform and expand its UK-wide network of garages.
The firm’s founder and managing director, Scott Hamilton, said: “We’ve seen huge growth since our launch in 2014 and this fundraising will help push us to the next level.
“The Seedrs campaign will not only help us to continue our mission to provide an unbeatable service for motorists and garages, but it’ll also offer anyone with an interest in technology, finance or motoring the opportunity to get some equity in a business that’s really going places.”
He added: “I’m looking forward to welcoming new shareholders to our business through the Seedrs campaign.”
Halfords Autocentre commercial director Stefan Warhaftig commented: “We’ve worked with the team at MyCarNeedsA.com for several years now and have seen first-hand how brilliant the site has been for motorists and service providers like us.”
