Customer service drives up Pall-Ex corporate growth to over £14.5M
Pall-Ex has accelerated its success over the last 12 months by growing its corporate revenue to over £14.5 million.
The market-leading pallet network has attributed the 2018 corporate growth to its focus on customer service, which has enabled the firm to grow existing partnerships, bring in valuable new business and also publish impressive retention rates.
Pall-Ex has also rolled out new IT software that is focused on the needs of the membership as well as the end customer.
MyNexus offers full consignment visibility, real-time GPS tracking, customised dashboards, images of consignments documented with electronic proof-of-delivery and geo-tagging and prepares the haulier for further growth.
Its drive to create industry leading customer service helped Pall-Ex achieve the Customer Care Award for the first time at the Motor Transport Awards, beating big names such as DPD UK to the accolade.
The Midlands-based company now aims to build on its success over the next 12 months by welcoming Business Development Manager, Sacha Wilks, who has previously worked with a number of well-known pallet networks.
Kevin Buchanan, Group managing director, comments: “Our achievements over the last 12 to 18 months speak for themselves. We’re constantly working to improve our service offering, set industry benchmarks for service standards and nurture all of Pall-Ex’s partnerships.
“We have made a number of major investments across Pall-Ex’s warehouse, IT and customer service departments to enhance the customer experience, provide improved communication and offer new solutions to alleviate concerns. In particular, our IT investment offers significant improvements for customers and network members by providing full visibility on consignments.
“This has enabled us to secure our position as industry leaders by retaining our existing customer base and welcoming a raft of new customers, leading to huge corporate growth over the last 12 months.
Pall-Ex will continue its partnerships with big names, including Tile Mountain, Aggregate industries and Clark Drain in 2019 and continue major contracts with Staples Solutions, Soudal (UK) Ltd and Hydrogarden.
Agnes Robinson from Soudal comments: “Pall-Ex don’t just offer a quality logistics solution, they offer a partnership. Our account manager is always on hand and our bespoke KPIs help us to present our delivery stats to the rest of the board. We look forward to continuing our partnership throughout 2019 and beyond.”
Pall-Ex Group was formed by renowned entrepreneur Hilary Devey CBE in 1996 and is an award-winning network of quality hauliers, which collaborate to deliver leading palletised freight distribution services throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. With its headquarters and central UK hub located right at the heart of the Midlands, Pall-Ex has grown phenomenally since its inception in 1996.
