East Riding holiday park operator to create 12 jobs with seven-figure funding
A holiday park operator in Yorkshire is planning to create jobs and refurbish its two sites with HSBC funding.
Park Leisure Marketing, the company behind the Beachcomber Holiday Park & Entertainment Centre in Cleethorpes and Longbeach Leisure Park in Hornsea, will use the seven-figure boost to implement a raft of improvements at its parks.
The cash will go towards the redevelopment of the 200-seat Bucket’s sports bar and restaurant at Beachcomber and general upgrades to facilities and accommodation across both parks.
The work is expected to create 12 jobs and help Park Leisure Marketing increase its turnover 20% in the next 12 months.
More than 5,000 holidaymakers visited Park Leisure Marketing’s sites last year.
Richard Varley, director at Hornsea-headquartered Park Leisure, said: “Since starting the business in 1991 we have always looked at new ways to improve our Holiday Parks.
“Beachcomber and Longbeach offer fantastic accommodation and entertainment facilities for holiday-makers across the UK, as demonstrated by our upcoming event with boxing superstar Tyson Fury in Cleethorpes.”
He added: “With the backing of HSBC UK, we’re looking forward to welcoming regulars and new faces alike for many more years to come.”
HSBC invested in the firm through its £12bn 2018 SME fund.
