UKCM Expands its Mobile Offering with Fleet Investment
Winsford-based UK Container Maintenance (UKCM) has strengthened its National Mobile Maintenance & Refurbishment Service for 2019 and beyond, with an extension to its fleet, representing a 200k + investment.
UKCM has purchased 6 new vans, as an extension to their existing mobile units to improve nationwide coverage and heighten its customer service offering.
Julian Elston at UKCM explains; “The firm has invested in two 7 Tonne Iveco Dailys and four new 3.5 tonne Fiat Ducato 290’s, which will allow the UKCM mobile operatives to stay longer on the road, fulfilling customer orders with a week’s level of stock, without having to make return trips to our head office site in Cheshire, which will also reduce carbon footprint. Importantly, this expansion will allow us to service more customers nationally, with enhanced response times as not all containers require a full refurbishment.
“Scheduled maintenance on containers of all sizes is an important part of our business, and we are firmly committed to ensuring that our customers’ containers are compliant and safe. Annual audits and safety checks of containers are a key part of the UKCM service offering with on-site coded welders and engineers.”
The business has also commissioned Gforce Communications to supply all of their vehicle tracking systems so UKCM can update customers on ETAs and other key information data, and the head office team can watch ‘live’ at any time from their desks via new camera systems which have be installed in all of the mobile vans as well as in the larger vehicles with trailers.
