Leading estate management firm streamlines HR with compliant cloud software

Midlands-based Centrick has invested in cloud-based HR software from CascadeGo, to alleviate the administrative burden on the company’s in-house team.

Established in 2005, Centrick offers a range of services, spanning residential sales and lettings, commercial property and block management.

With over 130 members of staff across its Birmingham, Solihull, Nottingham and London offices – managing over £1billion in client assets and more than 15,000 properties nationwide – the organisation needed a solution which complemented its business model while also guaranteeing complete data compliance.

Opting for CascadeGo’s Core HR and Expenses modules, Centrick’s head of HR, Gemma Powell, explained the rationale behind the investment: “We had previous software in place prior to CascadeGo, but we’d outgrown its functionality.”

Before choosing its new software supplier, the property company outlined its requirements. “As a fast-growing SME, we needed a bespoke platform that could scale up in tandem with our growth, as well as offer security and more intuitive, time-saving features – such as automated and personalised notifications,” Gemma added.

As well as being easy-to-use, the chosen solution also had to be cost-effective and support HR staff in their day-to-day tasks – removing the lengthy, administrative pain-points from the business’s current approach.

When asked what features would help the firm streamline their operations, Gemma explained: “Regular automated reminders for important events – such as reviews and probation timescales – is something we’re all excited about.

“Having this feature will not only make managers feel supported, but we’ll have peace of mind we’re compliant in all our key areas of HR.”

“Also, as the project team at Centrick is small, I personally needed a knowledgeable and supportive point-of-contact to manage the set-up and ensure smooth implementation of the software.”

After an online demo and discussions surrounding business requirements, the project launched in February. Over the coming months – as the company’s knowledge of the system’s capability grows – further roll-out phases are in the pipeline, aiming to highlight additional features and how staff can utilise them effectively.
