E-commerce marketplace Wowcher expands to Bristol
Bristol businesses are to get an e-commerce boost with the news that one of the UK’s leading e-commerce marketplaces, Wowcher, has expanded into Bristol with a brand-new office; supporting local businesses by connecting them to 140,000 local Wowcher subscribers.
Working with local merchants, the Bristol-based Wowcher team will provide bespoke and tailored support for businesses who want to build their customer base, raise brand awareness amongst Bristol consumers, bolster seasonal marketing and reach the 140,000 registered local users of the website.
The arrival of Wowcher in the city follows a busy year of growth in subscriber numbers in the area, with Bristolians receiving daily local offers and promotions on experiences and services in the city.
The new office marks an investment into the Bristol market, following similar successes in cities like Manchester, where Wowcher has worked with over 1,600 businesses and sold over 9 million ‘Wowchers’ to customers in the area. Nationally, Wowcher has helped thousands of local businesses connect with 20 million subscribers.
Wowcher is already working with local brands both regionally and nationally, helping the likes of Waldorf, De Vere and Hilton, as well as smaller local businesses, to expand their reach by utilising personalisation to match the right consumer with the right promotion; with dedicated UK account management and creative services to hand.
Ruth Peeters, Revenue Director at Marriott Hotels noted: “Working with Wowcher has enabled our business to drive incremental revenue across need periods through a number of revenue streams and the whole process from set up to execution has been seamless. They have been extremely supportive and have provided recommendations to support our strategy and in turn ensuring our mutual guests receive the best offers.”
Wowcher CEO, Roland Bryan, commented: “We are very excited to bring the Wowcher proposition to Bristol. We have been struck by the vibrancy and culture of the city and we feel sure that there is a huge opportunity for us to help some of Bristol’s best businesses continue to grow their revenues by using the Wowcher platform to connect these fantastic businesses with our audience.
“Our new colleagues in Bristol will be creating relationships with local merchants by being on the ground to understand how Wowcher can help to turbo-charge their customer acquisition efforts. We are very proud that we are the only local offers proposition that has dedicated local account management in Bristol. This allows us to work closely with our merchant partners to curate offers that are a success for their business, helping them to tap into the 140,000 subscribers we already have in Bristol and the surrounding area who are ready to try new things.
“For our consumers, we want to be the go-to destination for Bristolians when they are looking to book the best restaurants, spas and days out. Our mission is to offer our customers a lot of luxury for a little bit less.”
