Leeds digital agency, Cefar, demonstrating how agile working should be done
The Leeds based digital agency is showing the industry how flexible working can and should be done. At Cefar, employees have the flexibility of working from home, or anywhere there’s power and Wi-Fi for that matter. Furthermore, so long as the work is done and deadlines are met, it’s up to employees to schedule their own working day and choose the hours that they work.
“Being a digital agency it means much of the work can be done from anywhere in the world and at any time of day! Obviously if we have client meetings then the team will need to schedule those in, but most of our guys feel more creative and motivated when they work in their own environment and at times that suit them” said Surinder, Managing Director at Cefar.
“We have an office in Leeds and many of the team choose to work from the office as it’s great to bounce ideas off each other and to get that sense of being part of a team, but they are free to come and go as and when they want to” Surinder continues.
Cefar is going through a time of rapid growth and has just announced 3 new client wins so they are definitely doing something right! As well as great client success, Cefar will, this year, celebrate ‘10 years of service’ with Paul, Head of Development, and Liam, Head of Online Marketing.
“I have learnt, as a business owner, that employee health and happiness is key to having a motivated, hard working and effective work force. We have people working here with varying personal circumstances, from single mums to developers who have long commutes. Enabling my team to work flexible hours alleviates many of the stresses they would face if we enforced strict working conditions, and in turn we find that the quality of work coming from the team is enhanced. We have an extremely close team and above all we have created a working environment that works for everyone and makes working enjoyable!”
