Headcount rises as new studio enables structured growth
Nottingham-based, GT3 Architects, has announced two senior appointments to support its continued growth and to deliver against a number of contract wins.
Senior architect, David Richardson and project architect, Matthew McCreith, form part of a 25-strong team based at The Wallis Building, Plumptre, Nottingham.
The studio, which the company located to in 2018, is in the heart of the city’s creative quarter and offers significant space to accommodate the growing team. Indeed, to further confirm its ambitious growth plans, GT3 Architects is also seeking a project technician, a Part 2 architectural assistant and an architectural technology graduate.
Matthew said: “David and I are joining at a time of sustained growth within the business. We are a young and highly talented team working on a range of very exciting and challenging projects. In my early discussions with the directors, I was very impressed with the emphasis the company places on its staff, undoubtedly regarding them as its most important assets and providing them with the support, guidance and infrastructure to ensure they reach their full potential.”
GT3 Architects has delivered a range of award-winning and nationally recognised projects around the UK across sports and leisure, hospitality, entertainment, masterplanning, mixed-use, workplace, residential and heritage sectors.
The central focus of all projects is an approach the company has termed ‘People Architecture’, which positions people, not buildings, at the heart of its work, ensuring the spaces it creates are not just beautiful, but that they deliver real, enduring value to the people who use and operate them long into the future.
Following a period of rapid growth, which saw the practice work all over the country with clients from Dover to Northumberland, GT3 Architects has secured a number of more local projects and is enjoying contributing to its home regions.
David, who is currently working on a unique community hub project in Chesterfield, said: “The culture at GT3 Architects is all about people. There is a clear vision that in any building design the people who utilise the facility must, at all times, be the primary focus. They must be allowed to gain maximum benefit from its use and to ensure that takes place they must be consulted with and valued every step of the way.
