Park Group growth sparks HQ move to Liverpool
Park Group has this week moved 248 employees working in its core business to a new Liverpool base, as part of a new strategic plan for the company.
Park, which has been based in Merseyside for decades, has moved 233 of its staff and 15 contractors from Valley Road, Birkenhead to modern new offices at Twenty Chapel Street in the heart of the city, following what was described as Liverpool’s largest office deal earlier this year.
The move heralds a significant step change in the company’s aspirations for growth, which are centred around providing individuals and businesses with solutions for celebrating and rewarding, areas in which it is already one of the market leaders through its range of multi-retailer redemption products.
Although the core business team will move to Twenty Chapel Street, Park will maintain its roots and presence in Birkenhead, with its distribution of gift cards and hamper operations remaining at the Valley Road site.
Speaking about the move, Ian O’Doherty, CEO of Park Group said: “This relocation is a key step in the evolution of Park Group, and a time of great joy for us all. As a business, we have an incredible platform and legacy on which to build, and we also have some innovative and exciting plans for the future, which we’ll be announcing soon.
“Over the last year in particular, we have significantly invested in resources that will allow us to grow and dominate the markets in which we play. Our move to Liverpool is one part of that strategy, providing our team of talented people the best possible workplace in which to flourish and help us create those ‘wow!’ moments for our customers.”
The move, which was described as Liverpool’s largest office deal earlier this year, was facilitated by Glenbrook. The property company advised Park Group on its estate strategy and helped identify Chapel Street as the preferred location.
Park has also worked closely with Liverpool-based Momentum, who project managed the design and build process from concept to completion. Momentum was instrumental in identifying the requirements of the business and advised on concept and detailed designs, running the tender process to appoint Denton as the design and build contractor.
