Sale Sharks rubber stamp Gateley partnership
Premiership Rugby side Sale Sharks has announced a brand-new partnership with legal and professional services group, Gateley.
The business, which has over 1,000 employees across nine UK offices, will see its logo feature on the shorts of Sale Sharks’ home, away and European kits for the upcoming 2019/20 season.
The new deal coincides with an upcoming milestone for Gateley’s Manchester office, as the company gets ready to celebrate a decade of business in the city and across the North West region.
Mark Cueto, Commercial Director at Sale Sharks, said: “We’re always thrilled to join forces with a new partner and it’s fantastic to welcome a business as established as Gateley into the Sale Sharks family.
“It’s a company with national and international reach, but a particularly strong connection to Manchester – much like Sale Sharks – so in many ways we’re an ideal match for each other.
“Kit sponsorship offers some amazing opportunities for brand visibility, but our partnerships always go way beyond that. From our Business Club events to award-winning hospitality and engaging with our fan base, we’re constantly working to ensure all of our partners get the most from their sponsorships with us.”
Established in 1808, Gateley was the UK’s first commercial law firm to make the London Stock Exchange AIM growth market after being listed in 2015. In addition to Manchester, its other offices are located in places such as Birmingham, London, Belfast and Dubai.
Rod Waldie, partner and head of Gateley’s Manchester office, said: “Working with a team and a brand as recognisable as Sale Sharks is a brilliant opportunity for us and we’re incredibly excited about the future of this partnership.
“We’ve established Gateley in multiple locations in the UK but linking up with Sale Sharks is about elevating us to the next level and driving stronger awareness of the Gateley brand, as well as the range of services and expertise we offer.
“Another key focus over the coming months will be to celebrate the success of our Manchester office in the run up to its tenth anniversary, whilst acknowledging the clients we support across the North West and the relationships we have across the Greater Manchester business community.
“I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off those celebrations than by teaming up with this iconic rugby club.”
