Charity Starts at Home for Local Marketing Agency
Inspired by the North East Charity Awards event on the same evening and motivated to make a difference to the area they so proudly represent, Narrative launched their #CharityStartsAtHome campaign on 17th October by hiding winning tickets in lucky envelopes, and distributing them to attendees on arrival.
Moved by the talent, commitment and outstanding support from across the region’s charity, voluntary and social enterprise sector, Narrative decided to take action to support the work carried out and make a difference on home turf.
Collaboration is one of Sunderland-based marketing agency, Narrative’s, core values. Their #CharityStartsAtHome initiative has so far seen the award-winning agency generously pledge over £900 in just two months to a variety of charitable organisations, including FACT (Fighting All Cancers Together), North East Autism Society, Macmillan Cancer Support and Wearside Women In Need.
Aimee Muirhead, client partnerships director at Narrative, said: “We know that charity starts at home and that’s why we chose to support the North East Charity Awards in a different way this year to kick start our campaign. As a thank you from us for all the amazing work that goes on at so many awesome charitable and supporting organisations, we have pledged an amazing £912 so far since our starting point in October.
Recipients of a meaningful £550 from Narrative is local charity, FACT (Fighting All Cancers Together). FACT provides help, support and social opportunities for people going through the cancer journey and their families and friends. With a focus on building partnerships and raising awareness and education to help those in need, FACT was delighted to receive Narrative’s support.
Joanne Smith, chief executive at FACT Cancer Support, said: “This generous donation represents such a boost for many individuals and families. Donations like this help us to bring together an array of services to strengthen the network of support for the many local families touched by cancer.
“Narrative’s Charity Starts at Home campaign is one we wholeheartedly support and hope that it acts as an accelerator for other local businesses to consider how they can make a difference to charities such as ourselves.”
Aimee adds: “Our role as a caring employer sees us embracing goals outside of our own organisation. It is a privilege to work with an array of people across varied industries and we hope to inspire and encourage many more businesses to look for effective ways to collaborate with charities and social enterprises.”
