London Stadium cements new partnership with family business for local community

The Only Way is Granite has built a partnership with the London Stadium Business Club.

As a Business Club partner, The Only Way is Granite will receive Premier League-level brand exposure.

The family business was formed in 2015 by Nicholas Garwood and his uncle Gi Garwood, centred around creating granite kitchen worktops.

Possessing more than 20 years of experience within the industry, the Wickford-based company offers a complete end-to-end service for customers.

Nicholas said: “We import the stone, fabricate the stone, and fit the stone from start to finish. We’ve also got a large showroom in Wickford with six full kitchen displays in our showroom.

“Your kitchen represents 25 per cent of the value of your house. It doesn’t matter how much your kitchen costs, if you’ve got some stone surfaces in your house, it will feel like a million dollars.

“The first thing that people do when they walk into a kitchen, they don’t look at your cupboard doors, they look at the quality of your worktops.”

With up to 62,000 West Ham fans filling the London Stadium each matchday, The Only Way is Granite features on an LED screen at the front of the former Olympic Stadium, as well as being displayed on pitch-facing mid-tier boards.

The association with the London Stadium could allow The Only Way is Granite reach a national audience, via televised games.

However, Nicholas explained that the business is currently focussed on continuing to grow its name locally.

He added: “If you’re going to West Ham to watch the match, with such a bold name, we’ll either be a business you’ve heard of before or you’ll be more likely to remember us.

“We’re hoping to gain business, get some new enquiries, new leads and expand into new areas. Hopefully, we can get a few Premier League footballers interested, as well!”
