New account director for key Mainstay client as company continues rapid expansion

Mainstay Group has welcomed a new account director to the fold, as the national property management firm continues its period of sustained growth.

Debbie Penn will be leading on the group’s Direct Line Group (DLG) account, overseeing delivery of all facilities management services for the key Mainstay client.

The delivery team is a partnership between Mainstay Facilities Management, which handles soft FM services; Ascot Services, which is responsible for hard FM; and Direct Line Group, all operating under the single unified brand of Direct Line Property Team. In total, Debbie will be responsible for 17 sites and a team of over 150.

Previously, she was an account director at Maintenance Management Ltd, where she worked for clients including John Lewis, Waitrose, Boots and Morrison’s.

Luke Sanders, group managing director at Mainstay Group, said: “Debbie brings a wealth of experience to the team, and has form for delivering an excellent standard of work for high-profile clients.

“We are confident she will become an integral member of the wider Mainstay team, and a key driver in ensuring that we maintain an impeccable quality of service for this important client.”

Mainstay’s facilities management department is a recognised major player in the industry, with the DLG property team winning the award for ‘Innovation in supplier relationships’ at this year’s Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management (IWFM) awards.

Debbie added: “I’m very excited to be joining the Mainstay team. People development and training is something I’m passionate about, so I look forward to working closely with the DLG property team and helping them to grow even further.”

2019 has been a bumper year for Mainstay, as the group saw turnover soar to a record-breaking £26.1m and pre-tax profits come in at £2.6m.

The business has secured a number of high-profile clients across several departments, including a £600m London-based development, Hallsville Quarter, and the McGoff Group’s flagship Downtown scheme in Salford

In September, the company also announced the acquisition of a new portfolio spanning London, Nottingham and Wallasey.

Mainstay Group, which has offices in Manchester, Birmingham and London, employs more than 700 people and manages in excess of 80,000 homes across asset management, leasehold management and assured shorthold tenancy.
