Mobile Phone Accessories Provider, juice®, Outsells Apple in New January 2020 GfK Data Reveals
It’s been an impressive start to the new year for the team at juice® as it has been revealed they have sold more Apple lightning cables in the month of January than any other brand in the UK, including Apple.
The news has come in from the latest GfK market research data* for January 2020. Statistics reveal that 510k units were sold across the cable market with a consumer spend of 5.4 million. For the first time in recent history, juice® came out on top with a 10.4% of sales units, beating massive industry names such as Apple with 9.6% and Belkin with 9.2%.
Jolyon Bennett, CEO of juice®, explained: “It’s been an incredible start to the year with the news that our cables have officially outsold all of our competitors, including Apple, who are also our partners! This is a huge coup for us and we are excited to see where 2020 takes us as a brand as we continue to introduce high quality and vibrant products to market.
When I launched juice® back in 2012, my philosophy was to consistently supply a tech-savvy mobile generation with an extensive range of products to complement their mobile devices. We have continued to maintain a strong focus on developing products that make a real impact on consumers’ lives, which is why we remain at the forefront of an ever-changing market today.“
Encouragingly, UK consumers purchased around 90k units of Juice accessories in January 2020, which is a fantastic milestone for the brand and proof that consumers want something a bit different in the mobile accessories market.
