ScS creates hundreds of jobs across the country as orders increase by 92%
A national sofa store has announced that it is creating hundreds of new jobs across the UK.
ScS, based in Sunderland, has created 150 jobs in the past month, and is hiring for a further 150 roles.
The company said that the new jobs are due to a 92 per cent increase in order intake between May and June this year.
It also recently relocated its distribution team to a new warehouse in Knowsley which is 40 per cent larger.
David Knight, CEO at ScS, commented: “Due to a sharp rise in orders, we are in the fortunate position of being able to add to our existing workforce.
“In the six weeks leading up to September, our like-for-like order intake grew by 51%, equivalent to £19m of additional revenue.
“We’re delighted to be able to invest some of this into new staff members, as we continue to navigate our way through these unprecedented times.”
