Coventry United Ladies FC announce Hycolin as new lead sponsor
Leading global manufacturer of cleaning and hygiene products, Mirius, has announced that following a successful launch, its newest brand, Hycolin, will be sponsoring local football club, Coventry United Ladies FC.
The new sponsorship deal will see Hycolin partner with the English women’s football team throughout the 2020/ 2021 season and the partnership will include Hycolin acting as the main shirt sponsor for the team. Additionally, as part of the deal, Hycolin will be providing antiviral cleaning products for use in the football club’s premises, Butts Park Arena, to help keep the grounds as safe as possible and protect the team against coronaviruses*.
The distribution of Hycolin products to the arena is vital during the current pandemic and will allow Coventry United L.F.C to continue to play their sport safely and help ensure the arena is thoroughly disinfected before every match.
Hycolin Antiviral first hit the shelves in March 2020 and to date has sold millions of bottles in stores such as Savers, Dunnes, Booker Wholesaler, Lidl and Aldi, as well as hundreds of independent retailers nationwide. Each product in the range kills 99.9% of germs and viruses in under five minutes and includes products such as surface cleaner, hand soap, floor cleaner, kitchen cleaner and bathroom cleaner. The Hycolin cleaning range has also been shown to be highly effective against coronaviruses* by independent laboratory tests.
Coventry United L.F.C first played in their new Hycolin kit on Sunday 6th September, marking the beginning of the exciting new partnership with a 3-1 victory against London Bees.
Jade Ogle, Director of Women’s Football Coventry United Football Club says: “We are delighted to be partnered with Hycolin as our main shirt sponsor. It was obvious from the outset that the visions and values of both entities were aligned. A local company supporting their local women’s team is invaluable and we are excited for the partnership to develop over the coming years.”
Darren Langdon, Commercial Director at Mirius adds: “Sponsorship of Coventry United L.F.C. is another example of our dedicated commitment to our City. The strength, passion, commitment and drive the club and its players have shown over recent years in many ways mirrors our own business. We appreciate the challenges that women’s football is currently facing, and we are keen to help bring exposure to the sport and the supporter community as a whole. As a key partners in the Coventry UK City of Culture 2021, this sponsorship will further highlight the City of Coventry, Coventry United L.F.C and also help foster a culture of community – it personally gives me fantastic feeling to be involved.
