Perkbox, Europe’s leading ‘employee experience’ platform, appoints ex-Groupon director and VP Product & Engineering to new roles

Perkbox, Europe’s fastest growing ‘employee experience’ platform, has made two major hires to its executive team as part of its continued plans to strengthen its product and scale the business internationally.

Ex-Groupon director, Higor Torchia, has been appointed Chief Revenue Officer and will sit on the executive team. Prior to Perbox, Torchia worked with Unilever and American Express in his native country Brazil, joining Groupon in 2012 where he held a number of roles in sales, strategy and operations. Most recently, Torchia was stationed in London at Vend – a leading cloud-based retail management platform where he was managing director, EMEA. Torchia will spearhead Perkbox’s partnerships and go-to-market strategy.

Commenting on the appointment, Gautam Sahgal, CEO of Perkbox, said: “Higor has extensive commercial experience and business acumen spanning sales, marketing and customer success. He’s been crucial to the global scaling of major projects across Europe, APAC and Latin America and a keen appreciation for how an organisation works from a both a commercial and product perspective in order to deliver value to customers and create a truly scalable and robust business.”

Perkbox has also appointed Ankur Sharma as VP Product & Engineering. Sharma was previously head of product at Spotahome – a platform that manages long-term bookings of rental accommodation from a mobile device. He brings with him 15 years’ experience leading the development of a diverse range of digital products in large scale and competitive B2C environments.
