Seven Bro7hers report record sales for Black Friday as business grows in pandemic

Salford craft brewery SEVEN BRO7HERS Brewing Co reports a 1000% spike in online sales this Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend, in comparison to 2019.

Selling more then 40,000 cans of beer over the discount weekend the surge in sales is a reflection on the brother’s ever growing e-commerce business.

Since the pandemic hit in March 2020, the brothers have worked hard to scale up its online offering to counter act the loss in hospitality sales. The brewery has since grown the e-commerce web shop business by 90%.

Following significant crowd funding, SEVEN BRO7HERS have expanded its brewing site, taking on a second unit at its Salford site to expand production. Staff are also working in shift patterns to meet the online demand.

CEO for Seven Bro7hers, Keith McAvoy, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the response to our webshop this Christmas. Our Black Friday and Cyber Monday campaign hit 1000% more sales than last year, selling more than 40,000 of cans of beer over the discount weekend. We encourage people to continue to support independents, as it makes all the difference when businesses are facing into restrictions.”

Keith added: “We have seen a huge shift in our business, growing our webshop sales by 90 percent and expanding our brewery site to meet demand.

“At every hurdle or drastic change to restrictions, we have been shown nothing but loyalty by our customers, something we will be forever grateful for. We go into next year in a strong position and we are growing.

“We can’t wait to reopen our beer house doors, and to welcome Liverpool and Leeds into our family as we launch our new sites in 2021.”

The brewery recently launched a ‘Lockdown 2.0 Series’ of beers as Manchester faces into tier three. The range includes its first gose ‘Salty Tiers’, A ‘Rye IPA’, ‘Bubble House’ Brut IPA and a vegan milkshake ‘Don’t Milk It IPA’.

The brothers have also recently collaborated with #OneGM to launch an a ‘King of the North IPA’ inspired by Andy Burnham to raise money for hospitality.
